20xx年4月24日，在我校大學生活動中心舉辦了天津市首屆獨立院校英語演講及英文歌曲比賽。
本次活動由天津大學仁愛學院主辦，校公共外語教學部及英語社協辦，在校領導的大力支持下本次活動獲得了圓滿成功。
本次活動分為上午的演講比賽和下午的歌唱比賽，首次採用全日制賽程，精彩非凡，選手的優異表現更是一次次把氣氛推向高潮。
參賽的共計40名選手都取得了不錯的成績，這次大賽不僅增強了我們獨立院校之間的合作，更是一次英語教學成果交流和檢驗，意義非凡。
這對英語社是一次工作的檢驗更是一次深刻的.學習。在今後的學習生活之中，英語社仍將一如既往的努力工作，將英語早讀，英語講座，歌曲大賽，演講大賽等辦好，也請校領導和英語教學部批評指正。
最後我們熱切期待在今後的活動中有更多的同學參與進來，共同體驗英語的樂趣。

Beauty also refers to what appeals to the mind. The virtue of the Chinese nation-industry and bravery are taken as beautiful, because it helped to produce such a magnificent culture in the world. Einstein's theory of relativity is also perceived as beautiful, for it explains many natural phenomena so perfectly.
Beauty is around us. If you keep an eye or pay some attention, it is never difficult to find something beautiful somewhere about you. Wonderful natural spots, historical relics,fine arts, splendid buildings, and kind people are just a few inches away.

I could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not entering the university level I chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. Now here I am. If I come out first, it will be a great success for me. If I come out last-I hope this will not be the case-but if I come out last, I will not call my attempt a failure, but will also celebrate it as a true success, because part of my goal is my own character training-to do more assertive, to be brave in face of difficulties. For me, it is a meaningful step forward, small as it is, in the long journey toward the final success in my life, because I have truly gained by participating.
Let us return to our handsome young prince and the 4-step definition of success. You my have noticed that the usual worldly criteria of wealth, position and fame were not mentioned as part of the story, but rather, it emphasized the process of overcoming difficulties. 比賽那天終究還是來了，我坐着車來到同升湖國小，一路上人山人海，場面熱鬧極了：有的人拿着紅色的證書一蹦一跳，可高興了；有的人拿着稿子，在緊張地一遍又一遍地記；還有的人臉上流露出失望的神情，也許他沒有拿到獎吧！我先去前台簽了到，拿了排號，“天哪，我是6號！”太恐怖了，我多希望我是20多號，早知道就晚點來就好了。
我坐在位置上等待，我緊緊地抓着稿子，閉着眼睛一遍又一遍地背，我的腦子充滿了英文。啊！好煩啊！“6號！”一個裁判喊到我的排號，就輪到我了？太快了吧。我快速走上台：“hello everyone，My name is……”我的頭上冒出了豆大的汗珠，我不禁為自己捏了一把汗。“7號！”裁判一説，我便匆匆下了台

今年，我參加了“英語演講”體驗活動，到了現場，大家都在討論關於演講的要領，當然，我和我的朋友皓琳也在緊張的討論，皓琳問我:“你緊張嗎？”我不説緊張不緊張，卻反問她:“你緊張嗎？”“我很緊張，手都在都呢！”突然，工作人員進來，説要抽號，我心裏在想:我會抽到一個什麼號碼呢？我希望抽到一個居中的號碼，這樣好緩解一下緊張的'情緒。
開始抽號了，我第17個抽，皓琳是第18個抽，她抽到了11號，我抽到了16號，太好了，我心裏暗暗竊喜！抽號環節結束了，我們被帶到了一個大廳裏開始比賽。
首先上場的1號選手，接着是2號、3號……終於到我了，我做了兩個深呼吸，自信的走上台。演講中，我完全投入到角色裏，演講的非常精彩！當我演講完，台下響起了熱烈的掌聲。
我不能放鬆，因為還有一個環節，即興問答，評委問了我兩個問題，我都對答如流，最終，我晉級了市決賽！
我這次英語演講體驗，讓我感受到:只要你用心去做事，總能收穫很多。台上一分鐘，台下十年功！我要繼續加油，爭取英語演講進入河南省決賽！

11月4日，亞洲電視劇研討會10週年紀念頒獎禮在日本九州拉開帷幕。這不是一場(簡單的)頒獎典禮，而是讓所有娛樂圈的明星大腕們聚集一堂，給予評價，併為亞洲影視劇的未來刻畫藍圖出謀劃策。本次頒獎典禮自然不限於韓劇，而是來自中日韓三個地區的作品彙集一堂，其中，中國的電視劇製作過去幾年在質量和題材方面都有很大進步。

It is easy to describe success in terms of money, fame and reputation. But I believe that success is not external. I believe that success comes from within. My definition of success is to be true to yourself, and be true to others. That means, that you must cherish your personal ideal even in the face of adversity. I also believe that success is not discriminatory. Success is not restricted to such a class of people, in fact, it may be achieved by any person irrespective of his race, creed, gender and economic background. A good example of success is that of Beethoven. He is one of the world's most famous composers, yet he was deaf. He could not hear the majestic pieces of music that he created. Yet, in the face of this adversity, he was able to maintain his ideals''that of composing music.
To exemplify what success means to me, I pose a question to all of you. What brings us together here today? I believe that it is the beauty of the spoken word. The effect of pause and the sound of rhetoric are unique to the spoken word. I believe the beauty of the spoken word is even stronger for those who have difficulty in expressing themselves. These people are reclusive and had their emotions hidden within them. I once went to Australia and I saw two pictures, Once was drawn by a normal child, the other was drawn by a child with social inhibitions. The picture drawn by the normal child was simple and plain. The other was life'like, full of details and imagination. What this shows is that these are ideas, emotions and feelings that are locked internally in these children.
My ideal is to be the key, spreading the beauty of the spoken words to these children. These children have been neglected, but I feel that I can and should help these children to find themselves and be able to express themselves.
I realize that this is a difficult task, and there are many obstacles on the way. But I believe in my ideals and I will stick to them''even in the face of adversity. I think my dad was a hero for me when i was a young child. we'd go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid.

My father always stands in the center of my life， from past till now and possibly in the future.
My family was rather poor when i was in my childhood. we didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby， small room rented from my father's factory. the room was so small that there was little space for people to walk. i didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents. this is terrible both for my parents and me.
But father made this all different!he works very hard on his own business, now we have our own 2 housese,surly,i have my own he take our family so much happiness, richer and richer.
When i was little, i did everything with my dad. you could always find me sitting on his knee or walking and doing everything with him. every night he would read me a bed time story and make the voices of each character.
I learnt a lot from my daddy. i learnt to never take things to seriously and to always smile.
Like many other fathers, my dad and i also has generation gap. he is not good at or even can’t work the computer. so when i sitting at the computer desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’， ‘don’t waste time on the computer games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on. how can i- a computer fan – reduce time on computer? so i continue studying and playing on it
Years pasted, my father is over 45 now. it is time for me to look after him and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i really love you dad,cause you are the hero in my mind.

you see, i believe our nation owes every responsible citizen and every responsible family the tools that they need to make the most of their own lives. that's the basic bargain. i'll do my best to honor in the united states senate.
